Location Icod de los Vinos is a historically important town, which already in the first time of the Spanish settlement by its fertile location with forest and water wealth achieved prosperity and power for the local population. The wine, which has a great tradition of the place surrounded by extensive Fincas, was name-giving, but also the cultivation of sugar cane and grain shape the history of Icod de los Vinos.

Today, the beauty of the well-kept town houses and colourful gardens is combined with the popular flair created by the many wine taverns and bodegas, but also numerous small and larger shops. The landmark and tourist magnet of Icod de los Vinos is the Drago Millenario, the largest and perhaps oldest of the Canary dragon trees. Many beautiful houses and villas, built in the last decades, are grouped around the central historical place. Their location guarantees tranquillity and idyll and nevertheless attracts visitors at any time to make side trips to Icod de los Vinos, to Puerto de la Cruz, to the mountains or to the coast.

In the surroundings there are many nice hiking trails, and the famous Cueva del Viento, where the trail to La Guancha starts, is known as the longest volcanic cave of Europe.

A popular beach is located in the protected bay of San Marcos, which is framed with various apartment complexes.
